An 11-year-old girl died after her parents prayed for healing rather than seek medical help for a treatable form of diabetes, police said Tuesday. Everest Metro Police Chief Dan Vergin said Madeline Neumann died Sunday. "She got sicker and sicker until she was dead," he said.
Vergin said an autopsy determined the girl died from diabetic ketoacidosis, an ailment that left her with too little insulin in her body, and she had probably been ill for about 30 days, suffering symptoms like nausea, vomiting, excessive thirst, loss of appetite and weakness.
75% of people in America believe that the world was created in 6 days....and they can vote.....1 child is just the tip of the iceberg.
This is nothing but manslaughter, pure and simple. God damn religion.
That's angry making. VERY angry making.
I have type-1 diabetes (almost 100% certain what she had) and controlling it couldn't be easier, I've only had it three months and I'm already treating it like it's normal.
Dammit I hate religious nutcases :( Why can't they leave the kids alone at least?!
Sickening..think - has any amputee ever had a spontaneous regrowth oF a limb?. Never in history. Prayer is for your OWN salvation! If you decide to pray instead of make use of what 6000 years of civilization and technology has produced and care for your child/spouse/family member, you are not only a fool but a murderer, plain and simple.
